在西北农村，正月十五的重头戏是乡村社火。村里若有会耍社火的，从正月初便排练起来。距离我们村十几里远的滩子村几乎每年都有社火表演，十里八乡的人会赶去看。刚吃过早饭，通往滩子村的路上便有不少人，人们裹着新棉袄，呵出的白气在冷风里消散。到了滩子村，人群已把社火场地围得水泄不通，小孩则爬上树或是站在附近的干草堆上看。社火队来了，人群涌动起来。道路边还有小贩兜售炒瓜子、糖豆，那时我攥着过年攒下的压岁钱，犹豫半天才花一毛钱买把瓜子。
